Welcome to the official Russian Day Festival - Matryoshka - website. Matryoshka is the biggest, single day, Russian community event in North America. On this site you will find more than just coverage of the actually event, you can also find community news, information about other Eastern European events, as well as access to unique online competitions. Matryoshka is not just an event; it's a Russian community portal and much more!

The Russian Day Festival is an annual event that takes place at the end of August at park Paramount Canada's Wonderland. There are many great activities to be enjoyed, including cultural festivals, concerts, contests of professional and amateur teams, artists and entertainers in various fields of artistic performances, beauty contests, folkloric and contemporary art exhibitions, and much more. Our goal in organizing this even is to give our great community an opportunity to express itself in the best and most enjoyable manner. We have a lot of talent to be proud of and we want to share it with the rest of North America!

The center pieces of the event are the public competitions: Miss Russian Bikini, Mr Russian Bikini and kid's Be a Star. The 1st Matryoshka (Matryoshka 2003) was a tremendous success and new events were added for you to enjoy during Matryoshka 2004, one of which is Mr Russian Bikini. Not only does this site offer information on how to participate in future competitions, but you can also view current and past contestants and determine who wins some of the many awards! Visit the Miss and Mr Bikini sections of this site and let your vote count!

In our continuing interest in creating the best possible community event, next year's Matryoshka will continue to be held at the Kingswood Music Theatre. With a capacity of 16,000, Matryoshka 2006 is bound to turn into another great event. Don't forget to visit our media section and see if you can find yourself in the sea of happy faces!

The 4th annual Russian Day Festival (Matryoshka 2006) is scheduled to take place on August 20th 2006, as always, at Paramount Canada's Wonderland. See you there!
